The Fast 50 award recognizes the fastest growing Maryland, Virginia or District of Columbia companies, based on revenues, developing technology products or services.

Established in 1986, the Greater Washington Fast 50 Awards are open to companies developing technology products or services with headquarters in Maryland, Virginia or the District of Columbia. Companies must be at least five years old, with revenues of at least $100,000 in 1996 and at least $1 million in 2000. Ranking is determined by the percentage of growth from the fiscal year 1996 to the fiscal year 2000.
