VIPdesk Expands Service Offerings to Three New Cities

Internet personal services company to hire concierges nationwide for rapidly growing client base

Alexandria, VA (May 25, 2000) – VIPdesk, the nation's fastest growing Web-enabled concierge services company, announced today the launch of their virtual personal assistant service in three new cities - Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. This is the beginning of the aggressive expansion into 22 additional markets with plans to hire 150 local concierge agents to ensure accurate and current in-market expertise.

Boston, Chicago and San Francisco have been steadily increasing in terms of daily requests. In order to properly serve these new cities, VIPdesk has developed a localized presence including a "lead" concierge who will serve as a city expert resource for the home-based remote concierges. For each city, there will be several remote concierges to handle requests. These concierge agents are highly skilled professionals that provide additional, unparalleled local knowledge. The remote concierge agents also provide real-time updates of local recommendations that are published and accessible online.

"With the number of research, referrals, reservations and recommendations increasing for cities nationwide, we are aggressively expanding our localized presence to meet the needs of our clients," said Mary Naylor, CEO and founder of VIPdesk. "VIPdesk is excited to provide professional people a challenging and unique career with a flexible work schedule."

Milissa Rhodes, one of the first remote agents to join VIPdesk, stated that she enjoys helping others learn about the local attractions and the best and most efficient ways to get things done. "VIPdesk gives me the ability to have a challenging career while managing a busy household and still participate in my children's school activities," stated Rhodes, remote concierge for Washington, DC.

VIPdesk is a Web-enabled concierge service providing personal, real-time assistance from live, local concierge agents. VIPdesk is currently developing a distance-learning program to train at-home concierges. Currently, 2.9 million customers have access to the company's services.
