I started looking for work at home opportunities shortly after
my husband enlisted for active duty in the US Army because I wanted
a job that would move with me. My family has doubled in size to
four since accepting a Concierge position with VIPdesk in June 2006
and this company has enabled me to really have it all!
My job's flexibility has enabled me to productively work full
time from home and raise two small children. You simply cannot beat
the commute and convenience that working from home affords. I can
wear sweats to the "office", work with people I have become friends
with, and have time to play with my children, start dinner or just
relax on the couch during my breaks.
Throughout my four years with VIPdesk, I have been on a variety
of dedicated Concierge teams, performed managerial tasks, worked
supervisor shifts and am part of the Post Training Mentor Program.
I have worked on a variety of teams with shifts ranging from 8:00am
to 4:30pm to 3:30pm-midnight.
Each shift generally consists of the standard bread-and-butter
request types; restaurant, hotel and airfare reservations; event
tickets and driving directions. At my fingertips to handle any and
all requests that come my way are a vast network of programs and
resources.
About a year ago, we uprooted our family and moved to a town
closer to my husband's new unit. As soon as high speed internet was
hooked up at our new house, I was ready for work! I did not need to
take any time off and was able to seamlessly go from one zip code
to another without losing any time. There are very few jobs where
that would be possible.
